Link wage types to your payroll system

👉 Applies to: administrators who export expenses and allowances to the payroll system.

Go to Accounting > Accounts and select the Wage types tab.
Go through the standard wage types and change them so they match your payroll system.
If you need more, click New wage type.

⚠️ If a wage type has no account, the expenses may be exported as a lump sum instead of detailed rows.

⚠️ Without employee numbers, the payroll export will be wrong or incomplete.

Do I have to link wage types to accounts?

Can I create my own wage types?
Yes, with New wage type.

Expenses paid with private funds, private cards and allowances are paid out through payroll. For the payroll export to be right, the wage types in Expense need to mirror your payroll system, each wage type needs an account and each user needs an employee number.
